演讲人简介：
蔡宁教授，1988年毕业于德国比勒费尔德大学，获数学博士学位。2002－2004年，
在德国比勒费尔德大学担任科学研究员，并在中国香港大学作访问学者，主要研究
信息论、组合数学、以及它们在计算机科学中的应用。蔡宁教授长期在信息论、网
络编码、组合数学等前沿领域从事科研工作，取得了非常突出的成就。2000年与两
名合作者首次提出了网络编码理论，成为网络编码理论的创建者之一；正因为在网
络编码方面的突出贡献，蔡教授获得了2005 IEEE IT协会的最佳论文奖；应邀成为
IEEE Transactions on IT和IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking联合特刊的客
座编委；在组合数学极值理论方面有蔡宁教授的“Alhswede-Cai理论”，还反证了几
十年来都没有解决的著名的Kleitman猜想。先后在国际期刊和国际会议上发表论文
七十余篇，并出版专著1部。
讲座内容简介：
In this talk we first present a basic model of secure network coding,
wiretap network, and then discuss its relation with 3 well known
security systems, Shannon cipher system, secret sharing, the second type
of wiretap channel. A few extensions of the model also will be described
briefly. Finally we present a simple idea in secure network coding,
which plays a key role in many works in the area.
